The only video cameras - which I am aware - that the support is decent (and lenses) are at or below their target price, the Sony HDR-HC7 and HC9 ... and HC20 and Canon HV30.
No camcorder comes with a good battery in the picture - a pair of rechargeable batteries with high capacity - and you'll be on the field for long, so get solar charger for the batteries that are good size.
