Stacey: Many sunscreens and other personal care products contain formaldehyde, parabens and other irritants. Find a lip balm with sunscreen, do not contain PABA, lanolin, formaldehyde, parabens and free. Read the labels!
Vanicream is a lip balm with sun protection factor of 30, many doctors recommend the skin, where I live. It is titanium dioxide, which is the active ingredient. I'll give you a link to the lip balm and a link to an article on the dangers of formaldehyde in personal care products.

Chapstick is likely to contain the same chemicals that the sunscreen you are allergic, and it would not be practical for use in a wide range. The best option is a hypoallergenic sunscreen with zinc or titanium oxide as a sunscreen Neutrogenia sensitive skin. It is a little on the Goopy middle of it, but the sunscreen is almost nothing better in the market.
